With Lucky Mobile, there are no data overage charges.

That’s right. No data overage charges. No surprises.

If your usage exceeds the data included in your plan or Add-On, we’ll send you a text message with a link to add a Service Pass should you wish to use more 3G data. You can also continue to use data at reduced speeds of up to 128 Kbps for email, light browsing and messaging at no additional charge once you have exceeded your allotted 3G data.

With no surprise pay-per-use charges, you're always in control. And to further help you manage your usage, you can access the Lucky Mobile My Account app or log in to My Account and find your most up-to-date usage details.

What is a Service Pass?

Our Service Passes help you manage your spending. Choose a Service Pass to call, text, or use data outside your monthly Plan and Add-Ons.

If you try to call, text or use data and your activity is not included in your plan or Add-Ons, we will send you a text message with a link explaining your Service Pass options.

You can buy a Service Pass for calling (Canada-wide or international), texting, and data usage.

Service passes are either $3 or $5, and they expire after 30 days.

How do I buy a Service Pass?

Buying a Service Pass is easy. If you try to call, text or use data that is not included in your Plan or Add-Ons, we will send you a text message. Just click the Service Pass link in the text message, and you will be presented with options for your specific plan and needs.

After you confirm your selection, we will send you another text message confirming your Service Pass and its expiry date.

We recommend keeping extra funds in your account in case you ever need a Service Pass.

Can I buy more than one Service Pass at a time?

Yes. You can have multiple Service Passes at one time, but only one from each category (calls, international calls, text messages, and data). Once you use up your full Service Pass, you will be able to buy another.

If you’re using multiple Service Passes, we recommend buying a monthly Add-On, or upgrading to a larger plan.

How will I know when I need to buy another Service Pass?

We will send you a text message when you reach 50% of your Service Pass usage, and again when you have used 100%. Once you use up your full Service Pass, you will be able to buy another.

Data Add-Ons

With Monthly Data Add-Ons, you can customize your plan to fit your needs. Not available with the 50 Minutes Canada-Wide Calling Plan, 100 Minutes Canada-Wide Calling Plan, 500 MB Data-Only Plan or the $20/mo Unlimited Province-Wide Calling Plan.

Up to 2GB of Canada-wide data.   $15/mo

Additional Information

  • Services are available with compatible phones within Lucky Mobile coverage areas. Data Add-Ons available with select plans. Pricing and offers may change without notice. Taxes extra. Offers cannot be combined with other offers unless otherwise specified.
  • You must have successfully paid for your Total Monthly Charge (Plan + Add-Ons) for your service to remain active. If your monthly Plan and Add-On charges are not paid and/or if your account balance is less than your Total Monthly Charge on your Monthly Charge Date, your account will be put on hold and you will not be able to use your services until your account balance has sufficient funds. Unused minutes, text and data do not roll over into the next month. Prepaid funds are non-refundable.
  • Data includes data usage while in Canada and is rounded up to the next full KB. Data speeds may vary depending on type of phone, topography, environmental conditions and other factors. Data Add-On features do not include use of your device as a modem to connect to the Internet from your computer (tethering).
  • Data usage applies to sent and received picture and video messages and messages sent with an instant messaging application (e.g. Whatsapp, iMessage)
  • Speed and signal strength may vary due to traffic, topography, environmental conditions and other factors, including Lucky Mobile’s Internet traffic management practices (e.g., priority access to emergency personnel and critical infrastructure personnel). See luckymobile.ca/ITMP.
